Florida Puerto Rican Hispanic Minority Empowerment Committee
“Working Together for Our Community & Our Future”
The Florida Puerto Rican Hispanic Minority Empowerment Committee has issued its official 2026 endorsement to John Bruce for City of Melbourne City Council, District 4.
Their motto is the job description for this seat. A council member works for everyone in the district, including the neighbors whose concerns usually get raised last and answered slowest: the ones waiting on a sidewalk repair, a bus shelter, or a straight answer about an event permit.

Space Coast Association of REALTORS®
“The Voice for Real Estate in Brevard County”
The Space Coast Association of REALTORS® has recommended John Bruce for election to Melbourne City Council, District 4.
The association recommends candidates who champion homeownership, private property rights, and policies that improve the quality of life across Brevard County. This one came after a screening committee interview: the committee put John forward to the association’s Board of Directors, and the board voted to confirm it.
Their public policy is explicit that private property rights, responsible growth, and preserving Florida’s environment have to be balanced rather than traded off against each other. That is the same argument this campaign has been making about the lagoon and about housing this city’s workforce can afford.
Thank you to the board and the screening committee for the time and the conversation. Housing that working people in this city can afford, and growth that doesn’t cost us the lagoon, are both core to my platform. I’m glad to have their support and I’m looking forward to the work.
